As some of you may know, I took over as the new editor of Trollopiana magazine – the members’ magazine of The Trollope Society – at the end of last year. I am very pleased that my first edition is now with the printers and should be sent to members of the Society shortly.
I hope members will like the latest issue, which will include a detailed report on Geordie Greig’s lecture at the Trollope Society’s Annual General Meeting on The Life and Times of Anthony Trollope through the Obsessive Focus of a Collector and an article by Tim Robertson, Director of the Royal Society of Literature, on the the common aims of the two societies.
Unfortunately, the commitment required to serve as Editor of Trollopiana means that there is less time available to write daily articles for The Trollope Jupiter. I have therefore, reluctantly, had to accept that I will only be able to produce a weekly Jupiter rather than a daily version. The intention is to maintain the standard of the articles rather than sacrifice quality to maintain the quantity.
