The BBC has asked a group of leading book critics from around the world to nominate the greatest novels of the 21st Century. (The “So Far” is my contribution.)
I have read only one of them and know of two others. The rest are all new to me. Which I guess means I am no longer in touch with modern writing developments in much the same way that my musical taste is arrested at about 1982.
It would be interesting to hear how people think these novels compare with Anthony Trollope’s novels. Where do they stand relative to his achievements? Will they still be read when their authors reach the venerable age of 200?
