Where did Trollope go for his Easter Holiday?

Anthony Trollope popped up in Tunbridge Wells over Easter visiting the home of William Thackeray which looks out onto the common.

He also visited Tonbrudge where he found  mention of his fellow author Mrs Gaskell at Cranford Road.

Mrs Gaskell famously observed that: “I wish Trollope would go on writing Framley Parsonage forever. I don’t see any reason why it should come to an end.”

Great pics, Mark. Did you take them yourself?

  2. Hi Glenn, yes I took the photos though I must give credit to Susan Cooper who crouched out of sight behind the pop up in some of the photos and held it steady against occasional gusts of wind that threatenef to blow it over. Watch for further holiday snaps from the Trollope family album over the next couple of days.
