Trollope: an Irish perspective

I am grateful to John McCourt for spotting this excellent article by Frank McNally in the Irish Times which provides a specifically Irish perspective on Trollope. Some perceptive thoughts on how Ireland and being among Irish people influenced the formative stages of Trollope’s parallel writing and, equally successful, Post Office careers.
